  13.    WASHINGTON, April 2 /U.S. Newswire/ -- President Clinton today 
  14. declared major disasters exist in both the state of New York --
  15. following the Feb. 26 bombing of the World Trade Center -- and in 
  16. Nebraska as a result of severe March flooding and ice jams.    
  17. The disaster declarations allow the Federal Emergency Management 
  18. Agency to provide public assistance grants to affected 
  19. municipalities in the two states.
  20.    In Nebraska, 11 counties will be eligible for assistance --
  21. following heavy flooding (March 7-21) that killed two people and 
  22. injured 11.  Counties approved for assistance are: Boyd, Butler, 
  23. Colfax, Cuming, Dodge, Merrick, Platte, Sarpy, Saunders, Seward 
  24. and Stanton.
  25.    The President's declaration in New York City allows FEMA to 
  26. provide public assistance reimbursement for emergency protective 
  27. measures employed in the aftermath of the Feb. 26 World Trade 
  28. Center bombing.  The bombing left six people dead and more than 
  29. 1,000 injured.
